DIAGNOSIS OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS FOR IMPROVING ENERGY EFFICIENCY AT THE ASME SERTECPET PLANT

The study analyzes power quality at Sertecpet's ASME plant, focusing on the impacts of harmonic distortions, voltage fluctuations, and electrical imbalances on operational efficiency. Using tools like the Fluke 438-II network analyzer, key issues related to power factor, energy losses, and harmonic distortion were identified. Power factor correction through capacitor banks, surge analysis, and solutions design for optimizing electrical distribution are proposed. Additionally, a graphical interface was developed with Tkinter to facilitate the diagnosis, processing, and visualization of electrical data, including performance and regulatory compliance charts. These strategies aim to reduce costs, enhance sustainability, and ensure alignment with international standards such as IEEE 519 and ISO 50001, promoting more efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible operations.
